We are delighted to announce that Dr. Edward Heintjie Quiben will be joining as a Speaker (Oral Presenter) at the 5th World Neuroscience, Neurology & Brain Disorders Summit (NeuroscienceUCG 2026), scheduled for January 14–16, 2026, at Novotel Al Barsha, Dubai, UAE.

Presentation Title:

“From Threatened to Thriving: A Case Report on Cranioplasty Flap Recovery After Needling Guided by Infrared Thermography”

Representing the Department of Neurosurgery, Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center (JRRMMC) in Manila, Philippines, Dr. Quiben will present an insightful case exploring the use of infrared thermography in guiding neurosurgical interventions and enhancing post-surgical outcomes. His work underscores the innovative integration of technology and surgical expertise to optimize patient care and recovery.

Biography:

Dr. Edward Heintjie Quiben is a second-year Neurosurgery Resident at the Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center (JRRMMC) in Manila, Philippines. He completed his Doctor of Medicine at Saint Louis University – School of Medicine, graduating 15th among 163 students, and consistently earned Dean’s List distinction from 2017 to 2021. Prior to this, he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science at the same university and became a Registered Medical Technologist. His early education at Tarlac State University Laboratory School was marked by multiple Academic Excellence Awards.

Dr. Quiben has demonstrated strong academic engagement through participation in national quiz competitions, notably the 8th PSAi Inter-School Anatomy Quiz Competition (2019) and the 8th APMC-SN Luzon Regional Convention Quiz Bee (2018). He continues to advance his neurosurgical skills through specialized workshops, including the FESS and Anterior Skull Base Course (2023), Skull Base Cadaveric Workshop (2024), and Precision in Practice AFN Craniotomy Workshop (2025).

His research interests focus on pediatric neurotrauma and skull base surgery. Notably, he presented his study, “A One-Year Retrospective Series of Pediatric Traumatic Brain Injury at a Tertiary Hospital in the Philippines,” at the 50th Annual Meeting of the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery (ISPN) held in Toronto, Canada (October 2024).
